What is the Aviva Method?
The Aviva Method combines elements of dance and dynamic yoga. It is based on a series of 18 exercises that are performed to music in a precise rhythm. The Aviva Method was developed in the 1960s by Aviva Steiner, a Hungarian-Israeli dancer, after she discovered by chance how certain movements can have a strong influence on the female cycle.
How does the method work?
The movements improve pelvic mobility and strengthen the pelvic muscles. They increase blood supply and lymph flow in the pelvis, thereby improving the supply of nutrients to the reproductive organs and the removal of toxins. In addition, the movements also stimulate all other endocrine glands, especially the pituitary gland. As a result, the Aviva Method has a balancing effect on the entire hormonal system. The Aviva Method can help with a wide range of complaints, such as: menstrual pain, irregular cycles, hormonal imbalances, infertility, fibroids, cysts, endometriosis, PCOS, menopausal symptoms, uterine prolapse, incontinence, etc.
In addition to the basic Aviva method, there are other exercise series:
- Ovulation exercises
- Exercises for incontinence
- Pregnancy exercises
- Postnatal exercises
- The men’s series
